What is it about soda shops that people in this area of outer space just CRAVE?! Is it the taste? Quality time with family? Maybe the childhood memories paired with sipping soda? We don’t know; but one thing we do know is that many people in the Enoch and Parowan area were travelling clear to Cedar City on the other side of the galaxy to get their pop. Which got us wondering

Why doesn’t Enoch have a soda shop? 

After lots of thought and planning, we decided to start one! We aren’t new to the beverage business, (been there, done that since 1995 to be exact) but starting the Big Sipper has been a whole new experience. 

People who come into The Big Sipper comment on our ice more than anything else. 

We have been in the beverage business.

This got us wondering why Enoch doesn’t have a soda shop, and more importantly, was the reason we decided to open one! 

One could definitely say the owners of the Big Sipper, "the Dunnells," are not new to the beverage industry, or even Enoch and surrounding areas. The Big Sipper is the brainchild of David and Laurie Dunnell. Laurie was born and raised in Enoch, Utah, growing up, Laurie's first job was working early mornings at the Old Enoch Dairy --her first time providing a much needed beverage service to her community. Dave Dunnell moved to the Cedar City area in high school and eventually attended Southern Utah University where he met Laurie. They left to Idaho, but as many learn, it's hard to leave a community like Enoch and as quickly as they left, they returned risking all they had to provide a business they knew Enoch, Cedar City, St. George, and Parowan needed. In 1995 they expanded Laurie's father's business, Pace's Culligan, to include bottled water delivery services. For over 25 years they have provided the cleanest purified water the their Southern Utah community. Now that same top quality of service that has been provided over the lifetime of the Dunnell's is being provided through the Big Sipper. Enoch Utah's premier stop for specialty beverages.
